Linear Conjugate Gradient (CG)
method to estimate the Vp/Vs/Density from seismic angle
gathers
Non-Lnear
Conjugate Gradient (CG) method to estimate the Vp/Vs/Density
from seismic angle gathers
Bayesian-based
Support Vector Machine (SVM) method to incorporate the
petrophysical property and seismic attributes to estimate
the Vp/Vs/density.
The
inversion results from SVM methods have high resolution
compared with CG methods.
The
Poisson Ratio and Vp/Vs ration inferred from the Vp, Vs
and density can be used to detect the hydrocarbon
accumulation.
Rock mechanical properties, such as Young's modulus,
Poisson Ratio, UCS, Pore Pressure and minimum horizontal
stress can be calculated from the Vp/Vs/density.
Rock
mechanical properties can be useful for wellbore stability
analysis and shale gas reservoir evaluation.
